SITGES - BARCELONA

Sitges is located 36 kms south of Barcelona. This beautiful coastal town is famous by its 4kms of sandy beaches and its excellent tourist facilities, bars, fine restaurants, designer shops, etc. It is also internationally known for being the host of numerous parties: February carnival, fireworks. The church of both Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla sits at the northern tip of the town and marks the beginning of 4 kilometres of beaches. The streets surrounding the church are the same age as the church, 300 years old. They are the focus for jazz festivals and concerts, and form the backdrop to frequent spectacular fireworks displays.
